Huawei announced Honor 9 to the public a month ago, but it still did not have an entirely black version in its showcase, that is, at least until this Friday, July 14. On the date in question, the Chinese giant announced a new option. Huawei made it official that the black color variant of its Honor 9 smartphone is set to be released next week.

Specifically, the Midnight Black model will be available on July 18. With a suggestive name, Honor 9 Black possesses an elegant and dark painting, maintaining its same original aspects. What changes, however, is that the model has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, instead of 4 GB and 64 GB.

Honor 9 Black is sold for CNY 2,999, or $440, the same amount charged by the other colors in the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB.

  • 4 GB / 6 GB RAM
  • 64 GB or 128 GB of memory for internal storage
  • Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 960 Chipset
  • Eight-core processor running at up to 2.4 GHz
  • ARM Mali-G71 MP8 as graphics card
  • Main cameras of 20 MP + 12 MP (dual LED for flash) with f / 2.2 aperture
  • 8 MP front camera with f / 2.0 aperture
  • Home Button Fingerprint Reader
  • Dimensions of 147.3 x 70.9 x 7.45 mm and weight of 155 grams
  • 3,200 mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat under the Huawei EMUI interface as operating system

Recently, Honor CEO Zhao Ming announced with pride that during the first 28 days on the market, Honor 9 was well able to sell one million units. By comparison, the already appreciated predecessor Honor, in the first two months after the launch had reached 1.5 million, and projected 9 Honor could do much better.

This boom in sales also has a downside: the unexpected amount of claims is undermining the chain of production, which obviously did not foresee such a success and therefore Honor 9 is out of stock in different markets. We are confident that Huawei, from the height of its economic dominance, soon solve the problem. Certainly in Shenzhen will be very happy to have to face a problem of this type, the highly successful symptom you are receiving in recent years.
