2017 Honda Ridgeline – known for its debut making earlier at Detroit Auto show is a keep if you really are looking to acquire a sort of trust that could fulfill your need in a pickup.

Where other pickups might want to out-burst their ability to pull along CDL-mandating loads of cargo — a space shutter on second choice — Honda looks ahead to drive its new trust along with that of ATV in race.

Being a truck owner, you want to get your hands on an auto that could be a fun, functional lifestyle vehicle – exactly what is in store for you if you go for Ridgeline, provided none of any of compromises over its old-fashioned, body-on-frame competitors (or so goes the sales pitch).

On the other hand, the auto manufacturer has acknowledged the look of flying buttress-festooned first-gen Ridgeline (year 2006-2014 model) as something like head-scratcher for a decent chunk of the pickup-buying public. On a similar note, distinct to that of its predecessor, year 2017 Ridgeline’s style depicts conventionality – Not that you’d know it from its appearance.

Point to consider here is that the Ridgeline is built on the same global light truck architecture underpinning of the Odyssey minivan and the Pilot crossover, with which it shares a 3.5-liter V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission – hence maintaining a the family outlook.

Based on the 2016 Pilot’s specs, the pickup avails front-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations; the latter setup borrows the Pilot’s i-VTM4 torque-vectoring system, comprising drive modes for sand etc. Also, the new truck in recalling its predecessor’s dual-action tailgate, which folds but swings to the side has a lockable in-bed trunk.

In short, if its capability figures are good enough to get prospective buyers for consideration, Honda hopes to generate large revenue from its new launch.
