The partnership aids Microsoft to better focus on its own efforts, including its HoloLens program, an augmented-reality headset.  Oculus partnership with Microsoft is a part of Oculus Chief Executive Officer Brendan Iribe’s plan to look for partners that assist in making hardware.

Oculus also launched a new Oculus Touch, which at present is limited to some countries. The wireless gadget enables the people, when worn on the hand, to feel like they are in real world of virtual environment, by triggering interaction with items in a virtual world.

The prototypes, called Half Moon, will give people “the sense of feeling that your virtual hands are also your real hands,” Oculus founder Palmer Luckey said. “You need to be able to pick up a gun from a table, fire it and throw it effortlessly.”

This is the first product of Oculus which will arrive through the platform of Facebook, which bought the firm last year for $2 billion. Oculus is an experienced player in this domain. The VR company previously worked with Samsung Electronics Co. helping the smartphone pioneer in making of its Gear VR, a virtual reality device.
