    News reports bring in LinkedIn Corp.to be acquiring *Run Hop Inc. for maximizing its efforts in boosting users’ feeds in a more appealing form.

    According to press spokesperson, this initiative was actually an acqui-hire – The company looks onto avail services that could bring in front talent rather than technology; and that fits into the professional social network’s broader investment in content (source: Market Watch).

    However no details regarding the price had been laid front by LinkedIn.

    “We wanted the co-founders’ talent and expertise in content. It has long been a strategic priority for us, and we believe their knowledge and capabilities can help us accelerate the execution of our content road map.” –spokesperson

    In April 2016, Facebook had opened up its Instant Article platform to all publishers enabling them to lean on social site’s servers instead of their own, further allowing for stories to be hosted without any interference by third-party content upon clicking.

    Inspired by Facebook’s Instant Articles, LinkedIn had been in talks with publishers to provide a similar draw to its own social network, sources told BuzzFeed News.

    “Publishers remain a very important part of our content ecosystem and we are in regular conversations with them about new ways to work together,” said the spokesperson. “Our goal is to ensure we get the right content in front of the right member at the right time to deliver the best member experience possible.” – spokesperson
