Instagram is rushing new ads flood to invade into your Instagram account. The Facebook-backed company is allowing more advertisers to buy ads, along with providing them more ads friendly environment. The new initiative is part of a move to make Instagram a much likely “online retailing platform.” Its parent Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) pioneered the ads domain and Instagram also wants to do the same.

“We’re focused on three key areas,” Instagram writes in a blog post. “Expanding ad offerings to include action-oriented formats, enabling more targeting capabilities, and making it easier for businesses large and small to buy ads on Instagram.”

The latest plan allows the advertisers to buy ads and then target them to customers, with Instagram enabling users to purchase a product with a tap. If a user wants to see more products then Instagram will allow user to download the advertisers’ app from within the ad. This is a completely new strategy by the photo-sharing blog to target more personalized ads. For making its ads affective and attractive Instagram has worked closely with Facebook. Instagram will also provide its user’s information, based on their interests, to advertisers.

Instagram also said that it will soon release ad-specific developer tools through a new API and via the Facebook ad-buying interfaces to allow more advertisers to join the platform of Instagram.

“There are more than two million advertisers who actively use Facebook to market their business, and we want to leverage the best of Facebook’s infrastructure for buying, managing and measuring the success of ads on Instagram,” the company says.

Research firm EMarketer says this is a big turnaround in Instagram existing advertising portfolio. “These updates completely change the character and nature of Instagram advertising,” says Debra Aho Williamson, principal analyst at EMarketer.

Although Instagram hasn’t disclosed its ads sales figures, but Facebook’s total ads revenue of $7.42 billion in mobile advertising in 2014 included a contribution from Instagram. Facebook’s total ads revenue accounted for 17.4 percent of the total $42.63 billion global mobile ad turnover, according to eMarketer estimates.
