Stuffed and fed up from the slow speed of computer performance during the high-performance activities? Tech companies are there to solve your problems. The tech firms like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Khronos Group sort a way to handle graphics chips so that they can deliver superfast speed during peak-activity time for example playing high-graphics games or doing work on Photoshop. These companies are set to launch their softwares later this year which will be better adopted to control chip hardware, putting new abilities in the graphics chip and allowing the computer’s main processor to fully focus on multiple tasks at one time. Macs and Windows operating systems will receive this update later this year.

“The performance opportunities are huge,” said Linley Group analyst David Kanter of the acceleration technology.

Apple’s Metal technology, already available on iPhones and iPads, will be a part of Macs later this year. Apple isn’t the sole player in introducing this technology. Microsoft is also coming up with new DirectX 12, which will come with Windows 10 on July 29. Vulkan another API interface will also launched later this year. Vulkan is expected to be available across all platforms including Windows and Mac.

About a decade ago, excessive power consumption by CPU put burden on processing of applications, additionally resulting in heating up of computer as well as caused speed problems. Since then engineers work hard to eliminate such errors and comes with new better features and abilities. The new upcoming graphics handler will assist gamers, designers and general audience to better use GPU’s for required needs.

The companies such as Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) no doubt are keen about the new interfaces that allow programmers to have high-graphics chip power capacity. But it has to decide which interface it will support in future. The firm hasn’t yet announced how it’ll give Windows machines a boost comparable to what Metal offers on Macs. “We’re of course looking into DirectX 12 but have not announced any definitive plans,” spokeswoman Vanessa Rios said.

“We plan to support Metal this year,” said Scott Morris, senior marketing director of Creative Cloud for Adobe. And David McGavran, senior engineering manager for Adobe’s professional video products, said in a presentation at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference that Adobe will choose Apple’ Metal in its Photoshop image-editing program, the Illustrator program for vector graphics, and the Premiere Pro and After Effects programs for video editing.

To support additional graphics interfaces programmers have to do more work. In past programmers had to cope with two or three interfaces, but now Apple is going to add another interface in its Mac portfolio with Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) could be the next company to bring new interface for its Android Operating System too.
