Bye Bye sophisticated electronic circuits and hello to Apple HomeKit. The smartphone pioneer, Apple, is making another brilliant innovation. For the comfort of people the firm is introducing HomeKit, a protocol for controlling smart home appliances with Apple iOS. So if someone wants to turn on light, fan or AC, just take out phone and swap a desired button, electricity will rushes through the appliance. The idea of HomeKit pops out first at Apple’s last year’s developer’s conference but Apple didn’t provide any comprehensive information on this program later onand now the innovation is ready to launch.

According to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), the HomeKit-certified devices will be in market next month. “HomeKit has been available for just a few months and we already have dozens of partners who have committed to bringing HomeKit accessories to market and we’re looking forward to the first ones coming next month,” Apple said in a statement provided to Forbes.

Apple has put an end a report from Fortune claiming the launch of Apple HomeKit has delayed until August or September, instead of expected launch in May or June. The fortune news covered the story provided by unidentified sources which said that Apple Homekit was enduring a number of issues, adding the HomeKit software occupies more memory on the small devices.

The Homekit protocol is available to Apple users since the release of iOS 8 last year, it comes as a built-in protocol in iOS 8, yet the protocol is of no use as there are no smart devices compatible with HomeKit launch yet. Many device makers declared that they are working on smart devices, which is run under Apple’s MFi (“Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad”) program.

Apple has secretly granted certification to chipmaker Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) for its smart technology program, which will supply Apple-certified chips compatible with HomeKit equipped smart devices. Broadcom is certified by Apple which is using its Bluetooth-Wifi combo chips that device makers employed to develop a HomeKit-compatible device. Once the process of development of smart devices compatible with Broadcom Bluetooth-Wifi platform is completed, the devices will be processed forward to Apple’s MFi platform for quality assurance.

Apple HomeKit is much more reliable and classified the devices into different categories along with information that how many possible actions can be taken with devices e.g. turning on or off a light. Generally, this new technology will be more advanced than previous wireless protocols used in home automation technology like ZigBee and Z-Wave. HomeKit uses end-to-end encryption for safer connection.
