While putting in every effort to roll out a number of new ways to start chatting, Facebook updates its chat App frequently. As for now, it’s important to look ahead to where it wants Messenger to be by the end of 2016; it makes it easier for anyone to befriend with somebody. Well, that’s exactly how it’d be like from now on wards. Messenger has been embedded with *Messenger Codes – as when new update began to roll out yesterday.

In addition to this, Facebook had also launched Messenger Links; short vanity URLs that lead to a user’s Messenger profile, in the form of m.me/username.
UPDATE: The news was outburst by Facebook CEO and co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg after he had shared Messenger Code of his dog alongside Messenger lead, David Marcus.
The terminology ‘Messenger Codes’ sound somewhat similar to ‘Snapcodes’ – a similar feature Snapchat had launched in 2015. Facebook opted such a feature shows importance of bringing business through its chat App.
THURSDAY: In a blog post, social giant had explained how these features could simplify business chat with people on random basis:
“Businesses can use Messenger Links and Messenger Codes in ads, on their website or in any other marketing channel to prompt people to reach out to them directly.” – blog
It’s an obvious fact that business with Facebook Pages get a few additional opportunities to carry on the conversation with a cordial pace. Pages also get Messenger Greetings, short text messages that appear in a new message thread before any messages are sent. Greetings can be set and edited in a Page’s Message Settings.
INSIGHT: Facebook messenger has approx. 900 million active users, as per latest record by Marcus. There’re also more than 1 billion sent messages /month between people on Messenger, Pages and Business.
