Sony announced 2015 PlayStation Experience with changes in venue and ticket prices

Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) has made few changes in its PlayStation Experience public gaming event in terms of ticket prices and venue. The 2015 PlayStation Experience will take place on 5th and 6th of December at Moscone Convention Center located in San Francisco. Last year’s show was organized in Las Vegas.

Participants can play the biggest games of 2016 on the show floor, with the already-released titles. The company hasn’t revealed the list of playable games so far. Additionally, SNE will make key PlayStation announcements in the event. Last year, the company held a keynote address during the PlayStation Experience where it lifted curtains from a ton of games and made some notable announcements.

Sony will also organize the Capcom Cup Street Fighter tournament at the event, apparently due to its new collaboration with Capcom regarding Street Fighter V. Thirty two top players across the globe will compete for a share of the $250,000 reward pool.

The company is offering tickets at a lower price this year. People who register themselves before 20th of September can purchase a two-day pass for $60. Afterwards, the two-day pass will carry a price of $75, which is still less than the price of $90 for the event held last year.

Those who want to buy ticket for a single day will have to pay $45 for Saturday, and $40 for Sunday. Comparatively, one-day ticket was sold for $50 for the last year’s show. The company is also offering an exclusive Capcom Cup VIP package, which will feature front sitting area, entree to the Capcom Cup after-party, and a Capcom goodie bag. This package will cost around $115.

Participants can purchase tickets through the PlayStation Experience website, where they are encourage to sign up with the email linked with their PlayStation Network account.
